Products must be INV, SUB, or DCD products.The online store allows you to sell anything from merchandise to books to other products right through your Personify360 software. With the release of 7.4.0, the system delivers the ability to set up multiple associated products under a product "umbrella", set pricing for a range of relationships, and have complete control over the product selling process.

Umbrella products should NOT be set up for group purchases, which is a functionality of Corporate and Staff Management. Corporate and Staff Management allows you to assign a group manager to a roster from the back office and then that group manager is able to manage and purchase products for his/her roster online using the Corporate and Staff Management controls. See Overview: Configuring the Corporate and Staff Management Controls for more information.
These umbrella products serve as parent products which can house multiple individual or child products. For example, perhaps you sell cancer awareness sweatshirts that say “Fight Like a Girl” on them and you sell them in multiple sizes (e.g., S, M, L) and colors (e.g., Pink and Green). Each of the individual shirts would be under the Personify Shirt parent umbrella product and the colors and sizes would make up the individual products. It is a recommended best practice to begin by setting up the individual products before creating the umbrella product. This process will save you time by immediately allowing you to choose the products to assign to an umbrella product instead of going back and setting up each one and then assigning them individually.
Before setting up your umbrella products, ensure that you have performed the following:
· Step 1: Setting Up System Types and Codes for Umbrella Products
· Step 2: Adding the Product Review and Product Options Screens to your Personify360 Menu
· Step 3: Defining Product Options and Choices for Inventoried Products (for example, sizes, colors, format, etc.)
Once you are ready to set up umbrella products, perform the following actions:
· Step 1: Creating an Individual Inventoried Product for an Umbrella Product
· Step 2: Creating an Umbrella Product
· Step 3: Assigning Individual Products to the Umbrella Product and Select Product Options and Choices
To search for umbrella products in Product Maintenance, enter "U" in Product Type field and click Search.
