Setting Up Product Options and Choices

Before you assign product options to the individual product within the general umbrella products, you will need to make sure that you have set up all the desired options and choices. For example, for inventoried products, you might want to setup size and color options.

The subcode defined for the umbrella product options will display on the product preview window. For example, if color and size options have been defined for inventoried products under an umbrella product, the color and size options available will display on the product preview window, as shown below.

To set up product options and choices:

1. From the Personify main toolbar, select Products > Product Options.
The Define Product Options screen displays, as shown below.

2. To add a product option, perform the following:

a. Click Add Option.
The Option section displays, as shown below.

b. Enter the option Code.
For example, for t-shirts, you may have multiple "color" options.

c. Enter the option Description.

d. Enter the Display Order.

3. To add a choice to the option, perform the following:

a. Click Add Choice.
The Choice section displays, as shown below.

b. Enter the choice name in the Sub-Code field.
For example, for the color option, you may have choices of "Red", "Green", and "Black".

c. Enter the choice Description.

d. Enter the Display Order.

e. If you want to associate an image with the choice, click the Browse link.
Click the Clear link to delete an image if necessary.

f. Repeat steps a - f to add additional choices to the option.

4. Repeat step 2 to add additional product options.

5. Click Save.

If you would like to delete an option or choice, simply select one by selecting it and clicking the appropriate Delete button. Additionally, note that if you delete an option, it will automatically delete any choices that fall under it as well; as a best practice, we recommend deactivating it instead. Lastly, once any options and choices have been used, they cannot be deleted.
