Donation Thank You Control Overview

When a web user submits an online donation, organizations can communicate their appreciation to the donor via the Donation Thank You control. Fundraising donations are not “purchases” the way that purchases of inventoried products or meeting registrations are. When a donor gives money to your organization, you can give a personalized “thank you” to the donor, as well as provide the information that is needed by the donor when they prepare their taxes. Therefore, you can customize the thank-you page content that is presented to online donors. For more information, please see Adding Fundraising Gift Thank You Page Content.

Customer Impact

When the web user submits his/her donation, the Donation Thank You page displays, as shown below. For more information about the information displayed on this page, please see Configuring the Back Office Settings for the Donation Thank You Page Control.

If a dedication has been made on an online donation (via the Dedicate to/for field on the Donation Wizard control), the donor may wish to let someone related to their tribute know that they have honored them with a gift. When the donor clicks the button at the bottom of the page, he/she will be taken to the Tribute Card Information control.

Web users can also access this control by clicking the hyperlink from the Donation History control. However, the option to send a tribute card will NOT display. For more information, please see the Donation History Control Overview.
