Installing the Plug-In as an End User

Prerequisites

Verify you know the following information before installing the Outlook plug-in:

·            What version of Outlook you are on (2010 or 2013)? Refer to Prerequisites: Extract the Files for more information.

·            What platform of Office are you running (32-bit or 64-bit)? Refer to Prerequisites: Install the Plug-In for more information on finding which version of Office you are using.

·            What is your web services URL and account username and password for the Personify360 database? Your system administrator should provide you with this information.

Installing the Plug-In

To install the plug-in:

1.    If the previous plug-in is installed in your computer, you must uninstall it.

If this is the first time that you are installing the Outlook plug-in on your machine, it is expected that your system administrator has installed the add-in prerequisite steps before you installed the plug-in. While trying to install the plug-in, if you are prompted for prerequisites, please contact your system administrator.
For information on how to install the add-in prerequisites, refer to Installing the Add-In Prerequisites. Please note that the target audience of this section is someone who knows how to uninstall a program on your machine, unzip a folder, etc.

2.    Extract the files to your local machine.

3.    Install the plug-in.

4.    Restart Outlook and verify the plug-in was successfully installed.

5.    Configure the account settings.
