Bill-me later has very specific requirements in order for web users to defer payment until a later date. If your organization would like to use this feature, the following must be setup:
· The constituent must have an SSO login.
For more information, please see Editing a Constituent's Web Access in CRM360.
· Organization unit parameters must be defined.
From the Line Status Defaults for New Orders screen in Organization Unit Maintenance, check the "Purchase Order Required" checkbox if your organization requires a purchase order (PO) for bill-me later. From the "Order Line Status for Bill-Me Orders" drop-down, select whether the order line will be created with a status of A (active) or P (proforma).
For more information, please see Defining Organization Unit Line Status Defaults.
· Bill-Me options for web orders must be defined.
The "Allow Bill-Me" checkbox must be checked on the Demographics screen in CRM360 for the constituent. Because this checkbox is read-only, it will be automatically checked when the "Override" field is set to "ALWAYS". For more information, please see Adding Demographic Information to a Constituent's Record in CRM360.
Values in the Override drop-down are populated based on the codes defined for the non-fixed APP "BILLME_OVERRIDE" system type. The option that defaults is based on the "Primary Code" defined for this system type. If the "Primary Code" is set to "ALWAYS" and the Auto Populate checkbox is checked for the Primary Code, a new record will be automatically created in WEB_USER_BILLME table. This enable the customer to use the bill-me later functionality and the Allow Bill-Me checkbox will automatically be checked and cannot be changed.
· The product must allow bill-me.
From the eBusiness Control screen in Product Maintenance, the "Allow Bill-Me" checkbox must be checked. For more information, please see Defining a Certification Product to Display on the Web, Defining a DCD Product to Display on the Web, Defining a Fundraising Gift to Display on the Web, Defining an Inventoried Product to Display on the Web, Defining a Meeting Product to Display on the Web, Defining a Membership Product to Display on the Web, Defining a Miscellaneous Product to Display on the Web, and Defining a Subscription Product to Display on the Web.
· The Checkout and Pay Now controls must allow bill-me.
From the web control settings for the Checkout and Pay Now controls, the "Bill Me Later Enabled" checkbox must be checked. For more information, please see Configuring the Web Settings for the Checkout Control and Configuring the Web Settings for the Pay Now Control.
· The CUS700 batch process must be run.
The "CUS700 - Manage Web User Bill Me Data" batch process must be run to keep the Allow Bill Me flag set based on rules established by the organization. For more information, please see CUS700 - Manage Web User Bill Me Data.
CUS700 requires that a record in the Web_User_Billme table must exist for the constituent.
