Segmentation on the web is referred to as "Group Management". The permissions you assign to a group manager determine what customer record management functions he/she can perform on the web using the Group Management controls. For example, whether he/she can purchase products for the group, update group member's contact information, update the group's information, assign another user to be a manager, add new members, email the group, and perform other customer record management functions. In addition, depending on whether you set up a company, committee, or subgroup (chapter) for web segmentation (group management) determines how the group manager can manage the group. If you set up a company for web segmentation, this is known as Corporate and Staff Management, if you set up a committee for web segmentation, this is known as Committee Management, and if you set up a subgroup for web segmentation, this is know as Chapter Management. Please refer to Overview: Workflows for Group Management for additional information on how the workflows differ.
