Universes are, in a sense, the backbone of Data Analyzer. A “universe” is a metadata layer that acts as the central repository containing objects. Objects are entities that are comprised of database column names, pre-defined calculations, filters, conditions, or measures.
Universes can be customized to meet the needs of your organization. Please note that this section assumes you are familiar with working in BusinessObjects Universe Designer.
