Additional Setup for the Header Control

In order for a group manager to use the Group Management controls, separate pages with the desired profile controls must be configured for companies, committees, chapters, and group members. You must create separate pages with the desired profile controls for not only the home page (landing page), but for all the pages in the profile section. These pages would be in addition to the My Account profile section, which allows web users to edit/view his/her personal information. As a best practice, it is recommended that you do not drop controls that contain sensitive data, such as credit card information, on the company, committee, chapter, and group member profile pages. For the list of controls that can be used with the Group Management controls, refer to the Controls that are Compatible with the Group Management section.

Depending on which workflow (i.e., Committee Management, Corporate and Staff Management, or Chapter Management) you decide to use, will determine the separate profile sections that you will need to set up. In addition, if you decide to incorporate Committee Management, Corporate and Staff Management, and/or Chapter Management in your e-Business website, all the profile sections will need to be created.

The Header control must be dropped on EVERY page that you would like a group manager to be able to use group management. As a best practice, it should be placed on top of the page and should be the first control dropped on a page when creating a new page. See Header Control for more information.
