Adding Subsystems to a Market Code

You can also associate a market code with a subsystem to deal with restrictions in the order system screens on capturing the results of a marketing piece against a specific list. In addition, you can restrict the market code to a subsystem or a particular product.

By applying a market code to a specific product and then combining it with one of your list codes, you can determine if there is a close match between the specific product and the individuals or companies. If no subsystem is specified, then the market code can be used in all of the subsystems.

To add subsystems and products to a market code:

1.    From the Market Code Maintenance screen, select the Subsystems and Products tab.

2.    Click Add.

3.    Click in the Subsystem cell and select the appropriate subsystem.

4.    Click in the Product Code cell to specify a product.
The Product Chooser displays.

5.    Search for the appropriate product and double-click it to select it.
The Product Code, Parent Product, and Product Code Description fields display the information related to the selected record.

If the Qualifies for Free Shipping checkbox is checked for this market code, then the selected product(s) must be INV and marked as eligible for free shipping via the Eligible For Free Shipping checkbox on the General Setup screen in Product Maintenance.

6.    Click Save.
