Warehouses for Inventoried Products

All products defined as inventory require a holding location. A warehouse must exist before inventory can be received or processed within Personify360. A single product can be stored in multiple warehouses and in multiple locations within a warehouse. When inventory is received for a product, it is received into a specific warehouse and bin (shelf). When shipping occurs, the inventory numbers are reduced from the warehouse from which they were shipped.

Warehouses have a priority within a product. The warehouse with the lowest number priority greater than 0 will be the one used for fulfillment as long as there is inventory there to fill the order. A warehouse with a priority of zero is considered a storage warehouse only and no orders are fulfilled from that warehouse.

Products that are not inventoried (like customized membership kits/cards which are produced only when ordered) are not required to have a warehouse, but associating a warehouse with this product will generate a packing slip. A warehouse does not need to be a physical shipping room. It can also be a “new member processing center” which may be someone’s desk or cube.
