Digital Content Delivery (DCD) Overview

The Digital Content Delivery (DCD) system allows you to create digital products that can be purchased and downloaded by your customers via your website. This section details how to perform the steps for Digital Content Delivery product setup:

·            Defining the products in the back office.
This is similar to how you define products in other subsystems.

·            Uploading multiple digital files per DCD product.

·            Creating limits on the number of times a customer can download a DCD product.

·            Creating expiration dates for the amount of time after the purchase date a customer can download a DCD product.

 

Managing the DCD order can be performed by staff through the Order Entry (ORD001) screen and by the customer over the Web in his/her account pages. This topic is explored in the section Maintaining a DCD Order.

As of 7.5.0, Personify supports the ability to sell online access membership products to your members. For example, if your organization provides access to a publisher's website, you can provide access to this information to your customers who purchase the online access membership.
