CCP610 may return errors for various reasons. The error codes differ depending on the payment gateway. Personify classifies these errors into two categories: communication errors and declined errors.
The action CCP610 takes depends on which of these categories the error falls into. If the error is communication-related (i.e., services or Internet is down), CCP610 takes no action. When the communication issue resolves, CCP610 picks up the transaction and processes it normally.
If the transaction is declined or receives a similar error, CCP610 reverses the transaction. Your association may need to call the customer for an alternative method of payment. In the case of a declined error on reversed refunds, your association may need to refund the customer by check if the credit card is no longer valid.
PayPal error codes 111, 238, and 243 are considered “good” error codes. On the CCP610 report, these error will display as, “Transaction Already Captured - Receipt has not been reversed - No further attempt will be made to process this transaction”. This is considered a “good error” because the receipt was not reverse. This error is letting you know that the receipt was settled, but not through Personify360.
