You can customize both user created screens and base Personify360 screens to meet your clients’ needs. Even though you are using the same application to create and edit forms, there are two different ways of accessing the application. If you want to edit screens or forms, you should use the “Design This Form” command from the Tools menu instead of “Application Designer.”
Each time you modify a screen in Application Designer, a new instance of that screen occurs when you return to the base Personify360 application.
When editing a form, Personify recommends that you do not delete standard Personify360 controls. Instead, use the Properties window and set the Visible property to “False” for the controls in case you decide to use them later.
To edit a Personify360 screen:
1. In Personify360 , open the desired screen to edit; it appears similar to the following image.
2. Open Application Designer by clicking Tools > Design This Form; the following should appear.
You cannot use the Design This Form menu command from the Start menu. An existing Personify360 screen must be loaded or you will receive an error message.
3. Use the Toolbox and Properties palettes to edit the form as desired.
4. Click Save.
When modifying a Personify360 screen, Personify recommends saving the form to your custom forms directory so that it is not overwritten by an update. If you change and publish a form and save it to your custom forms directory, then the system will call your modified version rather than the base version.
If you use the “Save As” option from the menu bar and save the form to your Workspace, every subsequent time you click the Save icon, the form only saves to your Sandbox, not the Workspace as originally selected.
Any form you create must be saved to your Sandbox in order to “publish” the form.
