Step 3: Installing the Plug-In Web Services

The web service only needs to be installed on the server once by a system administrator. In order to install the web service, it requires about 29MB of space on the server. The server you install the web service on must be inside the firewall. The package folder contains a ReadMe file. Open this file in a text editor and review it before proceeding. The web services package installs your web services application under the name “Personify360OutlookService”. Before installing web services, ensure that you have installed the following: FullTextSearch Database scripts on the Database server.

To install the web service on the server:

1.    Before installing web services, you must install the database scripts. Refer to Step 2: Installing the Plug-In Database Scripts for more information.

2.    Create a new folder, such PersonifyWebservices, on your local machine where you will extract ALL the installation files.

3.    Navigate to the following file path: ..\AddOn\OutLook\1.4.0\System Administrators.
The following zip files display:

·            Personify360OutlookAddIn_Prerequisites

·            Personify360OutlookDatabaseScripts

·            Personify360OutlookWcfServices

4.    Extract the files from the Personify360OutlookWcfServices.zip to the new folder you created in step 2.

5.    Make sure you have Administration privileges to the package folder on your local server.

6.    Double-click the setup.exe.

7.    Double-click the Personify360OutlookService.msi.

8.    Now you can proceed to modifying the config.xml file.
