Before being able to use Personify360’s e-Checks functionality, there are a few steps you must follow:
1. Select a Payment Gateway – If you have not already done so, contact your Payment Gateway to obtain your test/production account and merchant ID.
As of 7.6.0, the Vantiv Payment Gateway was implemented, which also supports e-Checks. Therefore, PayPal and Vantiv are the only Payment Gateways that Personify360 supports for e-Checks.
2. Set up a Processor Account
For the PayPal Payment Gateway, TeleCheck is the only check processor supported for check processing. For the Vantiv Payment Gateway, Vantiv is also the processor.
a. If necessary, open a check-enabled merchant bank account.
b. Consider any legal requirements related to accepting electronic check payments.
3. Before going into production with your check integration, you must certify your storefront with your payment handler.
4. The certification process usually takes 2-3 days.
5. Set up your banking relationships – Work with your respective sales teams and associate your Payment Gateway, Processor, and Bank.
