CMS Connectors

Personify has collaborated with leading Content Management System (CMS) providers to create platform-specific connectors for the Personify360 .NET controls. These connectors dramatically reduce the time, cost, and complexity of deploying the .NET controls by allowing website administrators to use the drag-and-drop functionality directly into their CMS user interface, without the need for coding. A CMS enables you to create, deploy, and manage your Personify e-Business website. The CMS platform you select will allow you to use the controls from Personify to design an e-Business site to manage effectively your business needs and the needs of your web users. The CMS platform that you chose to use should be determined by the needs and requirements of your association. Each platform has its own unique features, capabilities, and pricing points that reflect those capabilities. While we use DNN as our CMS here at Personify, Inc., we are working to build CMS connectors to allow organizations with other CMS platforms to work with our new .NET web controls. See the Which CMS Connector Should You Use? section for more information.

Currently, Personify360 is compatible with the following CMS connectors:

·            DotNetNuke (DNN)

·            Ektron

·            Sitecore

·            SharePoint

Regardless of what CMS platform you choose, the .NET controls and web settings will display the same.

Please note that not ALL CMS connectors are compatible with ALL versions of Personify360. Refer to Content Management System (CMS) Connector Support for more information.

Each application or a CMS has its own unique login process. Since Personify does not know which application you may use or how it works, our controls are login agnostic and instead, provide a programmatic interface that allows the site, once the user is logged in, to pass the user’s identity to the control. This is one of things that the connector does; it passes user identity from the website to Personify's .NET controls. In addition, .NET controls do NOT need any of the DNN system controls to work; those controls are specific to DNN and that is why they are listed in the Using DNN as Your CMS Platform section.
