Defining Geographic Mappings

An organization can support all continuing education type codes, even though the codes may not be supported in all geographical locations. Different states may allow differing numbers of CE credits and types. This screen allows you to define the CE types by country and state. When transcript records are created, the system verifies if CE Type codes have been mapped geographically or not and determines the correct CE type and amount.

Each state determines the CE credit type that can be earned. You can only define the credit type by state using this screen.

To define CE type geographic mappings:

1.    On the CE Credit Allowed tab of the Course Code Definition or Exam Code Definition screens, click CE Credit Mapping.
Alternatively, from the toolbar, select Transcript Setup > Transcript Credit Type Code Geographic Mapping.
The Transcript CE Type Geographic Mappings screen displays, as shown below.

2.    Click Add.

3.    Select the CE Credit Type from the drop-down.

4.    Select the State from the drop-down.

5.    Click Save.

Description

Add

Button. When clicked, a CE type geographic mapping is added.

Delete

Button. When clicked, the highlighted CE type geographic mapping is deleted.

CE Credit Type

Drop-down. The Continuing Education Type code that is being mapped to the geographical location.

County

Read-only. Identifies the country where the CE Credit Type is valid.

State

Drop-down. Identifies the state where the CE Credit Type is valid.
