The following are the components of identity management:
· IMS Web Services – IMS Web Services allow vendors to retrieve customer data from the IMS to serve them with the appropriate content.
· IMS Administration Application – IMS Administration plays a key role for the implementation of the IMS. The configuration of the roles, the execution schedule, and the granting of access to the roles are managed using the administration function. Administration can also manage manual overrides or exception handling for the role assignments.
· IMS Windows Services – An IMS Windows Service performs the core functionality of the IMS. By translating roles set up in the IMS into SQL script and executing them against the Personify database, IMS Windows Services populate the IMS with up-to-date role management information.
· IMS Database – The IMS database holds all the necessary information about the IMS components. The role definitions, role assignments, and vendor access to those roles are defined and stored in the IMS databases. Please note that the IMS database is part of the SSO database and must be implemented on top of the SSO database to function properly.
The data access layer is not part of SSO or IMS. As per their Personify version, the vendors should work with the project team for accessing the necessary API or web services.
