To set up a committee as a segment:
1. First, a committee must be setup for segmentation (see Creating a New Committee for more information) before you can assign a group manager to it:
2. Select a committee with current, past, and future committee members (see Adding a New Committee Member for more information).
3. Next,
to access the Segmentation Control screen, from the Committee Maintenance
task category in Committee Central, click Segmentation.
The Segmentation Control screen displays.
4. Select
the Make this Customer a Web Segment
tab, as highlighted below.
5. Check
the Create Web Segment checkbox.
The following fields are now enabled:
· Segment Rule Code: defaults to either "Committee Segment Rule" or "Employee Segment Rule".
· Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2: default to the master customer ID and sub customer ID, respectively, for the committee or employer.
· Description: defaults to either "Committee Segment Rule – Committee name" for committees (e.g., Committee Segment Rule - Membership Committee), or "Employee Segment Rule – Company name" for companies (e.g., Employee Segment Rule- American Professional Association).
· Can Create Segments: defaults to
checked.
As of 7.5.0, this flag is deprecated and whether it is checked or not does
not affect any of the functionality of web segments.
6. Click Save.
