Defining Premium Positions

The Advertisement Type Code is one of four 6-character (maximum) codes that automatically creates the product code during advertising product creation. Charges are typically applied if advertisers want their advertisement placed in a premium position of a publication, such as the back cover, inside front cover, etc. For Web advertisers, the home page of the organization’s website is often treated as a premium position.

To define the premium position types:

1.    From the Advertising Code Central screen, click the Premium Position icon.
The Ad Premium Position Definition search screen displays.

2.    Click Create New Ad Premium Position.
The Ad Premium Position Definition detail screen displays, as shown below.

3.    Enter the Ad Premium Position in the text box.

4.    Enter the Description in the text box.

5.    If necessary, uncheck the Active checkbox.

6.    Check the checkbox that applies:

·           Enable for All Products

·           Enable for Print Product

·           Enable for Web Product

7.    Click Save.
Repeat these steps for each premium position you want to define.
